Gender and Minorities in Science Education
The conference aims to enhance critical discussions on equity, access, and intersectional pedagogies in education—particularly STEM—for women and underrepresented minorities. Through an intercultural lens that compares experiences across different countries and disciplines, the initiative will explore how science is defined, taught, and practiced and which obstacles prevent participation and representation. It also aims to reflect on the current global context and its influence on educational landscapes. The contributions range from academic research to student-led perspectives, highlighting global patterns and local practices. By incorporating a diversity of viewpoints, the conference seeks to challenge exclusionary paradigms and promote inclusive, transformative approaches to science education, ultimately amplifying the voices of those historically marginalized.
